Risk and Insurance Statement
Risks - our aquatic licence covers the sailing events and participants should note that there are a number of risks associated with partaking in such event.
These risks include, but are not limited to, from the minor (cuts and scratches, sun burn) through to critical (drowning) and those in between; collision with other participants or collision with other boats on the water resulting in more serious first aid incidents (sprains, breaks, immersion in the water), sunstroke. Although there are a number of precautions taken to mitigate these risks sailing is still a risk activity.
Participants should note that registering for the Regatta and registering a boat in the sailing events acts as their written acknowledgment of these risks.

Insurance - please note that only participants who are members of Scouts Australia, NSW Branch, will be covered by the Association's Personal Accident policy. Copies of the current insurance brochure may be obtained from your local Region office.
